3dsmax gets installed in Portuguese

Im installing 3dsmax 2024 in another computer and the installation is always in portuguese, i never get the option of what labguage to install. (I dont even speak portuguese)

I uninstalled, downloaded again the installer Create_Installer_3DSMAX_2024_English_WIN64
and keeps appearing in portuguese when i open it. Is frustrating.

I installed the same file in different machines and I get them in English, I use Deadline to render, all the machines works except the portuguese one

As far as I know 3dsmax is using the Windows language settings for installation. But you can change language at any time by opening Windows Start window, select All > , Autodesk and then 3ds Max 2024 - English.

but is really weird because nobody here speak Portuguese, I changed the windows to English and when I reinstall goes directly for Portuguese

Generally, when starting the installation process, there is a dialog asking you which language to choose for it. If you just hit Enter, the installer will probably use the first entry in the list which is not English but Brazilian Portuguese. But again, you can change 3ds max' (not Windows') language after installation using the way I noticed in my first answer.

Nowadays 3ds Max installs ALL languages at once, and sets the default launched language via registry.
Shortcuts to launch 3ds Max in a specific language are also generated in the startmenu.

Not sure, maybe the default language used at first launch, also adopts to the configured windows locale, but at the end it does not really change the installation.

There are two options to launch Max in a specific language:

by commandline option, using the /language=<language ID> switch, this is the one the startmenu shortcuts use. See official help for the valid language Id's
by user registry value. This value always reflects the language the most recent 3ds Max session used. So maybe there is a problem with this registry value on OP's machine

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\3dsMax\<Major Version number>\CurrentLanguage

Given the original poster uses 3ds Max 2024, 26.0 is the MAJOR VERSION , thus the full registry path is
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\3dsMax\26.0\CurrentLanguage
You can check with registry editor if this key exists and is set to your preferred lagnuage ID ( see above )

For convenience use this DOS command to set 3ds Max 2024's language for the current user to ENU ( us english )
This should be run in a command prompt and 3ds Max should NOT be running of course

reg ADD HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\3dsMax\26.0 /v CurrentLanguage /d ENU /f

Be aware that most 3ds Max settings are language dependent, so you will fall back to the default settings, if you did not configure 3ds Max in that specific language beforehand

It sounds like the installer might be picking up language settings from your system or previous installs. Even though you're downloading the correct English version, some settings could be causing it to default to Portuguese. Here's something you can try: before running the installer, change your system's region and language settings to English (US) temporarily. After that, run the installer again and see if it prompts you for language options. If that doesn't work, you could try downloading the installer from the Autodesk website, ensuring that the language option is set to English. Hopefully, that will fix the issue!

I will give it a look to these solutions as soon as I can, we are using now that PC as render node and we are in a rush with projects.
