How to input increase value number by scroll wheel mouse 3ds max ?

Dear all, I really interesting with input increase value number by scroll wheel mouse in lightroom.

I wonder how can we use the same way with 3ds max ?

That's something you'll most likely have to do in your mouse settings. I use a 3rd party mouse controller called 'X-Mouse' to change how my mouse operates and it has a setting for scroll speed. It's a global setting and would affect the mouse in all programs but I've found a sweet spot that works well for me.

As far as I know, Max has no parameter for the middle button speed. But it's a great suggestion. You might post that on the Forum for new ideas and see if it gains votes and maybe one day be implemented.

Hi,

There is a setting to adjust MMB wheel zoom sensitivity in 3DSMax already;

It can be found by going to 'Customise -> Customise User Interface -> Mouse Tab.... Wheel Zoom Increment'

"You can also disable Adaptive Navigation which may help.

Go to C: \Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2015 - 64bit\ENU\3dsmax.ini

and add "AdaptiveNavigation=0" in the [Performance] section."

Ah, see, there you go. The real experts know all the secrets. Good one. There are so many settings that it's easy to give up looking around and just not find things. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll try it myself.

Dear all, tks for all reply.

But it isn't what i want to.

Let me explain with my bad english.

In figure : I want to connect with 4 segment. And if i want to change by 5 or more : i must to click the arrow to increase value/ or double click on number 4, and type 5 on the keyboard ( or any number i want ).

The question : How can i change 4 to 5 or any number with MMB ?
So, now you can clear understand what i want to ask !

It's a part of KeyHydra (see the WheelCtrl page), you can get V1 for free (WheelCtrl works there but the free version doesn's support max 2023+).
