vray maxscript auto load script error 3ds max -call needs function or class, got:undefined

Hello ,
I cant' seem to get rid of this error........

1.I uninstalled - reinstalled V-ray four times.
2.changed the initial heap allocation to 256.
3.Re named the ENU to "ENU_old"
4.done a clean reinstall of 3ds max 2020 two times.
5.checked the help files on chaos but they don't show the same issue as far as what's
highlighted in the script error, in my case
it's......"local vrayMenu=getShadingViewportNitrousLabelMenu()"

.....any help is greatly appreciated

Looks to me like Vray left some files in G:\Autodesk\3ds Max 2020\scripts\startup called Vrayutils.ms and possibly a few others. Renaming your ENU wouldn't catch it because it's in the 3dsmax Root, and uninstalling 3dsmax without uninstalling Vray first would have left those files behind. (or maybe other things too.) Just go into that path and delete anything Vray and you should be good to go. You might also have to check /macroscripts in the root.

Unfortunately that didn't work. I'm going to try your suggestion a couple more times to make sure it wasn't user error.

If that didn't work then it might be time to contact Chaosgroup support as the problem is not on the 3ds Max side it would seem. Sorry it didn't work out for you but at least you can check that off your list.
