topic Simulation Mechanical Exception On Startup in Simulation Mechanical Forums (Read-Only)

I'm having an error message when I open Simulation Mechanical. As soon as I open it and select a file to save to it pops up the following error: Systen.Excpetion: Can only initialize RequestRuntimeManager once at Connectivity.Common.RequestRuntimeManager.Initialize(String[] args, StringrreConfig, AutomatedApplication autoAppl) at ManagedPreferences.prefApp.{ctor}(prefApp*) I got this the first time I opened the program, so I tried to open it again after it crashed. It would not open again, so I restarted the computer. After I restarted, it will open but displays the error message after I save my project.

Hi Mberna533,

Are you using Vault? I've seen this occur once before with another customer and it was caused by an issue with the Vault Plugin, they weren't using Vault so we just disabled it. If the Vault plugin is not necessary, one can rename C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Simulation 2016\Addins\AlgorVault to AlgorVault.old, which will prevent the add-in from loading. Make sure to do this when Simulation Mechanical is not open.

Thank you for the quick and helpful reply. I am not using vault, so I disabled it and it starts normally.
