Black Market for AU Lego Figurine

So of the many things I'm bummed about having missed AU again, the lego figurine swag is probably the worst... any one have any idea where i could pick some of these up... are there any seedy trade show swag black markets any one knows about?

LOL, I'm pretty bummed about that, too. I posted on twitter and in the AU app that I was willing to buy one from somebody, but, I got no bites.

Just did a random lego printing service search, you could always make your own.
There's lots of companies offering this so...

id be lying if I said i hadn't thought about it. But deep inside i would know that they had not seen the lights of AU and i would secretly shun them.. and Lego mini-figure shunning is a very sad business to be involved in haha

Hehe, yeah i can understand the "i want an original one" feeling.

Autodesk should consider a webshop with this kind of "swag" stuff, though that would take away the "i got this at AU 20xx and you can never get it again" memorability.

thats why they should date the swag... but that kinda goes against the bulk purchase idea behind it..... maybey they can just rev it lol. SWAG R1

I guess the other option would be to actually go, but its a hard sell to my boss that i should really go next year cause i dont want to miss out on a $.50 plastic toy lol. Maybe ill start a gofundme...

So I've put forth a fiendish plan... well maybe not so fiendish, but a plan regardless.

I have asked the guys with Unprofessional Engineering to retrieve some lego figures for me while they are at AU 2017. So if you see them doing their podcast there, remind them to pick some up for me 🙂

I went full on nerd when i created the logo . I even created an instructable: https://www.instructables.com/id/From-Logo-to-Lego-Creating-a-Lego-Mosaic/

I had heard on twitter that there was a place selling them at AU as well as booths giving them away and there appear to be a variety of software platforms giving them away. I saw a Fusion 360 Lego figure. SO the new goal is to get them for the different software. #misguidedcareergoal

My wife warned me that I might have been a little stalker-ish but the guys from Unprofessional Engineering took it in stride.

On a whimsical itch i sent two emissary (CADnoob-D2 and a pirate) to the Unprofessional Engineering guys to help them find the lego figures. (probably the most stalkerish part)

I cornered people where i could and asked them to help lol, i caught the guys when the came though with the AEC collections road show and caught some others at web events like future shock 3 and any one else who was to slow to see my nerdyness coming. Most people glazed over but i figured the worst they could do was a restraining order hehe.

Even modeled one and superimposed it in my hands. just out and out had fun with it.
