Thanks, Adam. Customer support told me to go to the forum and the forum tells me to go to customer support. But, I believe you are right and I have asked customer support to re-open this.

I run the licenses and get downloads for autodesk. A user of Featurecam asked me:

"We are trying to obtain a “post file” so that we can use this software for a new machine center we have acquired and in order to download these post files, it asks us for a customer pin." So what is a post file? is there only one? What is a customer pin?

I am assuming by "post file" they mean a post processor - the file that converts the FeatureCAM program into NC code that can be read by the machine tool.

Each post processor is specific to each machine tool as the code they need to perform certain actions varies from machine to machine. This is why they will need a new post processor if they have a new machine they'd like to create programs for.

I am assuming that you will need to contact Autodesk support for a new post processor and they will then give you a pin to enable you to download the relevant file? They can also make any machine specific customisations to the post processor for you if required.
