Is there a way to save machining attributes according to the PP that I am using? Meaning that I open one machine file and the attributes will be set according to the style of machining on that CNC. Then open another and the attributes change for that CNC's style of machining. I tried to create multiple machine configurations and have them open as default but no luck.

              Thanks

Hi @Anonymous,

In this case I would open a empty document go in the machine configurations create a new profile, make the changes you want and save as the name the post processor have, then load the config when you start a new document, that should works.

Colin follow the direction on the attached pdf. These steps will allow you to have multiple fcam desktop icons set to machine configs for different materials/posts/machines/feeds,speeds. You will have multiple desktop FCAM icons each will be be its own materials/posts/machines/feeds,speeds so when you open say the fcam icon that is set to SS vortex with HSS tooling on a haas all the appropriate setting you set will autoload, same goes woth plastic with carbide on a fanuc all those setting will atuoload.

Thanks JD, the setup and our training on the machine was the past three days so it was the first we actually had it up and running. It is really weird the way it writes the program however it will import one from a couple of different control types that are n FC. So I think I'm good
