Hi

Does anybody know of a way to get featurecam to rough levels using 5 axis to tilt the component away from the tool.

I have programmed it by making setups for each feature and rotating the y axis 15 degrees to clear the tool holder but wanted to know if there is another way of doing this?

Have attached a file showing the setup for one feature using z level roughing to remove material.

Here is the snapshot by which i have highlight the option. So please follow it. Also attached a revised toolpath FYR. If my post answers your query, please click on 'Accept as Solution' button.

Hi Sudhira,

If holder collision clipping is turned on then it only clips the toolpath to avoid a collision with material. It will not create a 5 axis toolpath to lean to component away from the tool. As J.D said this strategy is not available in FeatureCam for 5 axis roughing cycles
