I fixed by viewing problem of zooming out when changing a view. In viewing options uncheck "Auto center-all".

There is very little differences between 2016 and 2017. I got a couple complaints though, if you toggle your view to a different position it zooms out every time. When you import a new, updated or any solid it does not show up in the solids area of the part view tree unless you minimize or close the program. I like to rename the models so I am able to keep track of them and that little smart choice box that keeps popping up. I have unchecked the box To "Notify me when a smart choice is made", but that does not stop it. Other then those pithy complaints 2017 seem just fine.
