So have a odd project and not quite getting how to do it.

I need to thread mill a metric 5 lead 39x10 90degree internal thread. I have tried using the solid/AFR and from dimensions/thread milling.

Using the solid/AFR it does not recognize the feature as anything other than a hole. Using dimensions/thread milling when trying to set the tool, a 90deg double angle cutter, it will not let me select anything other than a multi-flute thread mill.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Zach

Hello, have tried that, but I can not get it to let me define a double 90deg angle cutter as a thread mill? Basically we use it like a single point threadmill, all I can get to work is multiflute thread mills.

I can't help with the 90 degree form, but it's easy to create a single point threadmill. Set the minimum and maximum pitch value equal to one pitch.

Now it want the cutter length and body length to match/greater then thread pitch?

The cutter length will be equal to the pitch and the body length will be greater. Enter the actual dimensions of your tool. See the screenshot I posted earlier.
