Remake version 17.25.4.3 completely broken

I've been using Remake happily without any major bugs for some time, and I installed each new version without any major errors.

However, after installing Remake version 17.25.4.3, I get "Local Reconstruction Error" no matter how many images or which images I use.

Even images from which I created models in previous versions don't work any longer.

The progress bar quickly climbs to 100%, then the message "Local Reconstruction Failed" appears.

The error log simply says

"00:11:30 [10800] ERROR - mesh reconstruction failed!"

Can we get a fix for this, or is this the way to force customers to use the completely new version of Remake (RePhoto or what it's called)?

I would desperately need a working version, but I'm not ready yet to switch to the completely new product.

Hi @Anonymous,

Sorry that you are facing this problem, to narrow the problem down we would need some more information regarding your machine.

Are you using a Notebook for the reconstruction? and If yes, do you have two graphic cards on your notebook, one dedicated graphics card and the other being an integrated graphics card?

Suddenly it's working again.

Now it happens again.

It seems to be randomly.

Now it happened just during the creation of a model.

When I restart Remake a few times, it works again.

Also, the checkboxes for "Smart Crop" and "Smart Texture" can't be activated right away.

First you need to close the "Create Model" dialog, then click it again, and it will work.

Is there a way to return to an older version of Remake?

I guess before this is fixed, the usage period for Remake is over.

@gerald_chinMy computer has an onboard graphics card, but I don't use it. I didn't change my system at all. All the time it worked fine. I just installed the latest version of Remake, that's when the trouble started.

I didn't find a way to edit my post again, so I have to post another comment:

I found "ReMake_172531_Win64_dlm.sfx.exe" in my download directory. That was the last version that I installed before the failing, current version.

That version worked perfectly fine, but I can't use it anymore, I'm immediately taken to the "Download new Version" dialog.

Well apart from the missing checkboxes it seems to work again fine.

I re-installed.
