Remake Freezing when generating model in offline mode

Hello all, I am a student learning remake.

I have 579 pictures I would like to use for generating a complex model so I use the Beta feature in Offline mode.

I started the local reconstruction before leaving for school so that it would generate while I was away. When I came home, after about 10 hours, my system was frozen at 90%. I tried again over night and when I checked this morning my computer frozen at 40%. when it freezes my computer is completely unresponsive and i am forced to shutdown by holding down the power button.

I don't why my system is freezing up, it meets the requirements for local reconstruction. I am using Remake version 17.24.2.4

My system specs are:

HP Z book 17G2 Wokstation

Windows 10 pro 64bit

Intel i7-4710MQ @ 2.50GHz

32Gb Ram

GeForce GTX 1070 (eGPU)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi There,

Could you check your memory usage? over 500 images is a very big dataset and you almost surely need 64 GB or more of memory to process it.

Hi Elmer,

I managed to find a working solution to my freezing issue. I opened Task manager and stopped all unnecessary applications running in the background under the Processes tab.

I've now been able to complete 3 Local reconstructions without freezing including the 500+ photo set.
