I don't know if it will be better, I just would like to try, maybe it will be faster.

I was thinking that travels from one point to another are empty (nothing is cutting) and that it is a waste of time because it could be done by cutting as the point will be reached sooner or later.

Hello,

Currently when I cut several parts in an mdf panel, the CNC does this,

1 - The tool goes down into the mdf,
2 - The tool cuts a piece
3 - The tool goes up
4 - The tool will reposition itself to cut another part, etc.

I would like to cut all the pieces without the tool going up between each of them or even repositioning itself, just that it follows the lines that are the same depth.
I've tried a lot of things but without success, is it possible?

Thank you in advance.

Without seeing the part, it's hard to suggest what to do different.

Off the top of my head, I think your only option would be to set all your heights to the same point, but that may be disastrous, as rapid moves will also be "in" the material. Do you feel that you gain a lot of cycle time by keeping the tool down?

That file works fine. Is the desired result to never have the tool lift up? Do you feel that it will lead to faster cut cycles, or is there some other limitation that requires this?

Aside from creating a custom sketch to drive the toolpath (via Trace), I'm not thinking this is possible. You might be able to accomplish something by selective sketch selections and tangential extensions, but it's not going to be efficient or machine the part completely.

The best thing you could to do reduce the linking moves is to create more toolpaths, each one selecting a smaller amount of features:

Thanks for this solution but it's a bit tricky, my file getting louder with multiplication of cutting and it's seems like I don't win so much time.

It looks like there is nothing could work natively.
