Hello Forum,

I have a HMC with a Fanuc 11 control. I made a nice Adaptive Toolpath which has a lot of lines of code in it. The nice tool path is really jerky because of the X and Y moves are small and the tool is always accelerating and decelerating. Does anyone know if there is there a G-code to help smooth this out?

Regards,

Mike

Do you have smoothing turned on at the toolpath level? I find that a tolerance of .0005" and smoothing tolerance of .001" does a really nice job of smoothing out the code for my Mori and Kitamura (Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls). Other than that, there may be a G05.1Q1 setting that your machine can take, but without having the programming manual, I can't comment further.
