Hello All!

I run a small machine shop in the UK with the help of 2 Hitachi Seiki's.

Both machines are very capable but I have reached my limits on programming with the CA23 lathe.

Its a 4 axis machine with live tools, C axis indexing and even a 12 tool ATC. I can program the live tooling to a point but the work were taking on is now getting more and more complex and although manually programming parts can be

quick and easy, the latest jobs are a huge pain and we need to step up our game.

I am a Solidworks guy and before I pull the trigger on CamWorks at huge expense, I would like to know if F360 would be capable of controlling the machine?

I would have to learn F360 but what im intersted in is, whats the cost ? and will they provide a post processor to run my live tool 4 axis lathe?

I would appreciate any advice or if anyone has been in the same boat.

Many thanks in advance. Cheers chaps.

The cost is quite low; right now, until Oct. 1st, you can purchase for $310/yr. After that it will be going up to $495 USD.

Source

Now, will it do the job? Hard to say. It will do most of it right out of the gate. I know they just wrapped up a Mazak Integrex, all programmed by Fusion.

A post processor would need to be created or modified for you.

Multi-channel CAM is not quite possible in Fusion, although it's something they are working on. They will be porting in a fair amount of Swiss Lathe type stuff in the coming months/years.
