Try increasing the distances it backs of G28 is just a go home move, if the machine backs of 1 mm at homing the machine should stop 1 mm of the switch at a G28 call G53 is the other option but it does the same sort of thing go home.

Hi, I have a really simple CAM job to bore out two holes - just started with CNC & CAM. My CNC router has min and max limit switches and I am homing each time I start the machine up. However, every single CAM program I create within Fusion 360 and then run via Chilipeppr to my CNC xpro V3, the spindle goes up and hits the Z max limit switch therefore putting the board into alert.

%
(1001)
(T1 D=3 CR=0 - ZMIN=10 - flat end mill)
G90 G94
G17
G21
G28 G91 Z0
G90

(Bore1)
M9
T1 M6
S5000 M3
G54
M9
G0 X2.25 Y-0.3
Z20
G1 Z18.3 F1000
G18 G2 X2.55 Z18 I0.3
G1 X2.7
G17 G3 X3 Y0 J0.3
X-3 Z17.5 I-3
X3 Z17 I3
X-3 Z16.5 I-3
X3 Z16 I3
X-3 Z15.5 I-3
X3 Z15 I3
X-3 Z14.5 I-3
X3 Z14 I3
X-3 Z13.5 I-3
X3 Z13 I3
X-3 Z12.5 I-3
X3 Z12 I3
X-3 Z11.5 I-3
X3 Z11 I3
X-3 Z10.5 I-3
X3 Z10 I3
X-3 I-3
X3 I3
X2.7 Y0.3 I-0.3
G1 X2.55
G18 G3 X2.25 Z10.3 K0.3
G0 Z20
X262.25 Y-0.3
G1 Z18.3 F1000
G2 X262.55 Z18 I0.3
G1 X262.7
G17 G3 X263 Y0 J0.3
X257 Z17.5 I-3
X263 Z17 I3
X257 Z16.5 I-3
X263 Z16 I3
X257 Z15.5 I-3
X263 Z15 I3
X257 Z14.5 I-3
X263 Z14 I3
X257 Z13.5 I-3
X263 Z13 I3
X257 Z12.5 I-3
X263 Z12 I3
X257 Z11.5 I-3
X263 Z11 I3
X257 Z10.5 I-3
X263 Z10 I3
X257 I-3
X263 I3
X262.7 Y0.3 I-0.3
G1 X262.55
G18 G3 X262.25 Z10.3 K0.3
G0 Z20
G17
M9
G28 G91 Z0
G28 X0 Y0
M30
%

I have no idea what is going on and need some help!

Thanks.

Does the program have a homing offset as in it hits the switch then backs off a set distances.

G28.1 or G28.2 is a setting you can hard set to a goto position.

It's nothing you or fusion is doing wrong it's just a small change needs to be made.

Yes, the controller is programmed to back off the limit switches by about 1mm after homing.

Do I need to make a change within Fusion 360 to take this into account?

Thanks.
