I think this is what you're asking for/trying to do:

setup > stock > fixed size boxIf you want to make the same part out of different size stock then you just have to go back into the Setup and change the dimensions accordingly, making any adjustments according to where you place the part/model inside the stock (Model Position entries).

Defining initial stock shape?

Hi everyone
I am new to all this and I have just made my first part on my cnc converted Bridgeport using mach3 and fusion 360. It was relatively square and near the initial size so I just had to set the stock as a rectangular block. I am now trying to figure out how to change the shape of the initial block I’m machining in the software. So if I wanted to machine from an already irregular shaped piece, how would I map this into fusion so the tool path doesn’t involve lots of unnecessary stock removal because it has been assuming it’s machining a cube? I have tried searches but I don’t really know what terms to use. I would’ve happy if someone could just tell me what terms to search for if it’s a common issue. Thanks

Pete

Welcome to the forums Pete!

When you are creating a new setup under Stock tab there is an option to use solid body as stock.
