topic Cut Width for 2D contour? in Fusion Manufacture

I have a part that needs to be cut out from the stock using 2D outline operation. The depth is 17 mm, the diameter of the tool just 8 mm. To help chip evacuation, I would like to make the outline cut wider (i.e. 14 mm, meaning two passes in each level). Can this be accomplished?

The only workaround I can think of is an auxiliary sketch and then 2D pocket operation with the outside shape as an island. But I find that rather inelegant.

By "2D Outline" operation I assume you mean a 2D Contour? Just a quick test here, but I think if you turn on "Roughing Passes" you should be able to do what you want.

Dave

yep, as said above. Roughing passes and multiple depths will give you what you are looking for
