      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am trying to set up the 2D Face mill step tgo mill the faces of the workpiece.&amp;nbsp; I was planning to use a .5 inch dia., 2 inch long 4 flute flat endmill.&amp;nbsp; But when I select tool and try to give these dimensions to an endmill, everything behaves correctly, but the tool shows up after OK as #1 - O0.2031" flat.&amp;nbsp; What am I doing wrong.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;The first problem I see is that you don’t have a model select in your setup. The next is that your geometry is showing something select but I don’t see it on the part. Could the edges you selected have been removed from the part? &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Once I selected the model and new geometry the Adaptive operation generated.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you.&amp;nbsp; I was able to generate gCode.&amp;nbsp; I am now on to my next problem.&amp;nbsp; The Sherline post processor produces gCode that specified a tool not inh the EMC library, so I added it, and yet the simulator refuses to run ith it.&amp;nbsp; On the LinuxCNC forum, another user said that I should use the generic EMC postprocessor.&amp;nbsp; When I tried that I received the attached error log.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;This is normally cause by not working on the setup XY plane and using a non-rotary post processer. Do you have an operation that is using Tool Orientation?&lt;/P&gt;
