No you don't set that in cam only on the machine all the cam needs to know is where the work zero is.

Have a read of this http://linuxcnc.org/docs/2.7/html/gcode/coordinates.html

I have a 3 axis router that homes to the back top right using limit switches. The Z axis can then be zeroed to the surface of the work piece.

Do I need to define the x,y home position of my machine in Fusion 360, or is this normally done in the post processor? (I will use Linux CNC)

If I do this in Fusion, how do I do it?

I am assuming that the g-code generated by fusion needs to have it's 0,0,0 to be the same 0,0,0 as my CNC machine, or a least that sounds the most logical way to do things to avoid confusion.

I am new to CNC btw.

Is that because the question is to general? What kind of questions should I ask on Linux CNC forums?

A question like yours on the linuxcnc forum you would get told to RTFM read the ducken manual.

They are quite blunt on that forum with question that reading the manual would answer, It's the reasion I stopped useing Linuxcnc A yes no question I would have some very nasty reply's
