I can no longer create a mill post. It worked earlier this week. Fusion 360 did an automatic update Friday and now when I post the file name is appended with a .failed. Is there a way to roll back to a version of Fusion 360 that works. I tried a project created with an earlier version of Fusion 360 and the post worked. Help.

It looks like the post is expecting input that is not getting from the CAM.

Can you export the file as a .F3D and share it here? If not I can PM you my email address and you can send it directly or invite me to the project.

If none of these options are acceptable you can try posting using dump.cps sms sharing that file here as it may answer the question of what is failing.

Using the generic Mach 3 post, it failed for me as well, but the message if gave was: Coolant Mode not Supported (or something to that effect). Looking at your selections, you had "Air" as the coolant option. The Mach post is not setup to use that code, although I'm sure it could be added.

Switching it to "Off" or Flood coolant allowed it to post out without an issue

Now, I guess the question is; Did you have "Air" selected prior to this update, and it worked fine then? I don't have an old(er) copy of the Mach post, so I can't confirm or deny it's ability to post that out.

Or is the Air a new function? (fairly certain I've seen it prior to this, but I've no use for that function so...)

Air is certainly not a new function. Many machines have specific air blast codes, and some route that through the tool. I think it'd be more handy though to have a custom coolant option that can be post-specific.

In each instance I disabled the coolant. Saturday was the first time I selected air. Since it happened right after the update I attributed the problem to the update not my choice of coolants. I just figured it would work. Since I have to manually turn on the air anyway it doesn't make any difference. Thank you again for the help.

I have to manually turn on the air anyway so I'll just disable the coolant in the post. At some point in time I'll install solenoid to have the Mach3 turn on the air. I'll just tie it to an acceptable command for coolant in Mach3.
