In this screenshot I have a 2D contour tool path. I selected the bottom curve and bottom straight edge. I'm trying to create a toolpath that is similar, but as the tool runs along the bottom curve, I want the tool to follow the curve upwards in the Z-axis. Any idea how to do this? I also attached the f3d file.

Hi

the easiest option is to use 2D trace, set the compensation to left:

You may need to play around with the axial offset to get it to cut how you want.

Another option if you have the Machining extension is Advanced Swarf set to 3 axis mode. Not sure why but it doesn't quite do it in one continuous path

I have included both options in the attached file, but trace will most likely be what you want
