Soo... I finally got myself a 50W CO² Laser and with that new and shiny Machine I immediately adopted the habit of curating a proper Library in LightBurn to store the Cut / Engrave Parameters for various Materials and their thicknesses.

Once that was done I kinda figured I'd finally do the same with the Fusion 360 Tool Library for my 3-Axis CNC... A few hours in and I'm finally done reorganizing everything from having Duplicates of the same Tool across various Material centric Folders now all residing in one Folder with the Duplicates consolidated into a single Tool now having proper Material Cutting Datas.

Thing is... I'm not quite happy with it how things look because things are starting to get crowded...

How's everyone organizing their Tools? Do you keep them in separate Folders based on certain Criterias like Tool Size and what do you put in your Description? I usually go with something like ¼" 2F CARB STR to indicate it being a Two Flute Carbide with Straight Cutters

Not sure the best way to explain how I do it other than sharing a screenshot of my library tree and the layout I use for endmills. Depends on the range of tools/materials you work on it can be as simple or as complex as you want it to be.. This layout works the best for me and the couple of guys that help me with programming and most of this info carries over to my setup sheets so finding tools out in the crib is pretty easy. Best practice is to find something that works and be diligent to stick to it, sometimes it seems like it takes too much time to setup the correct information for a tool or preset but if you keep it consistent and accurate it will benefit you down the road.
