Is adaptive a roughing strategy? Yes, and it also drives the tool, if that does what you need then it's all good. I would encourage everyone to try the other strategies they do tend to go faster and produce nicer results, but every project is different.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi, I have designed a somewhat complex shape and want to use 3d adaptive clearing as a finish pass.&amp;nbsp; I see its designed as a roughing strategy but if using rest machining and turning off stock to leave it does a pretty good job of getting my shape done. What is the consensus?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I've not done any work where a faceted face would be permissible, but if you're happy with the finish, go for it.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
