Hello everyone,

I am trying to make a milling operation where I want the tool to move on the Y axis only and rotate the part to mill the upper and then the down side.Is this possible? The part I want to make it on a Haas lathe with all the other turning operations.

I don't think the Haas turn/mill posts are configured to allow the Y axis to travel below centerline. However, you should be able to mill one flat, rotate the C axis 180 degrees and then mill the next flat. I'm not sure if that answers your question, but it wasn't clear exactly what you were asking or running into.

Yes, thats what I want to do, but I dont know how to rotate it 180 degrees. If I try to mill first only one side it gives an error.

Oh! Program it like you would on a mill, selecting both contours. The post processor will handle the rotating of the part

-EDIT- What's the error that it gives you?

Press the ALT key and select a single edge. Release the ALT key and mouse button, rotate the part around and repeat the process for the other edge. Stock contours is optional, you can also achieve part/tool clearance with Tangential Extension
