DLL files not working in UserLib or in project

We have user dll files in our "Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor ETO Server 2013\Library\UserLib" directory that we have never had problems updating in the past.

We have always shut down the services, replaced the dll with the latest version, restarted the services and everything has always updated without a problem until today.

We have tried removing all traces of the dll from the project designs and from the UserLib directory and when we start the services, Intent acts as if the old version still exists. It's as though it is saved in memory somewhere so I even tried rebooting the server to clear it. This dll is specifically used to format our Inventor ETO output files to a format that our ERP system can utilize.

I don't know if there is a way that I can reload all the user add-ins or use some kind of reset utility that would reset the local environment.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Andrew,

If you have Visual Studio installed, you may try attach to the process. Then, in the output window, you may inspect the paths to the loaded dlls.

Alternatively, you can use Process Explorer, and inspect output similarly to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/970920/using-process-explorer-to-list-dlls-running-under-the-outlook-exe-proc

Thanks for the recommendations!

We used the Process Explorer as you had suggested and were able to locate and remove the rouge dll that was causing the issue.
