Microsoft seems to be shuttering silverlight soon;

Are you asking in regards to Sliverlight based web client UI and graphics for ETO Server and/or C360?

The latest versions of ETO Server do not use Silverlight, for exactly that reason. It was a major effort to change.

Check out this sample page from Configurator 360 -- that should give you an idea of the new technology.

I see from your sig and some google that your company has made an open-source web UI. Is it meant to provide identical functionality? Very exciting if so.

Adding some to what Jon said, both ETO Server 2016 and later, as well as C360, support Three.JS and HTML5 based client graphics.

We would welcome you to use our open source AngularJS (HTML5 and Javascript based) libraries for C360 to create single page applications (SPA's) that you can use to replace the Silverlight approach to web UI's. We use a slightly modified version internally for ETO Server projects (i.e. not open sourced) - but the overall result is the same.

We have included sample apps for our Angular libraries for C360. You can get to the sample apps at:

FWIW: Developing with HTML5 is a joy compared to with Silverlight. The debugging cycle is shortened considerably since Javascript and HTML (i.e. UI) changes are immediately available in the browser after you save the changes. So nice!

I wish I could accept 2 solutions, but I will have to go with adesk official. Silverlight always seemed like an alternative to flash, which didnt need an alternative so much as a tactical nuclear warhead directed at Adobe, or at least a plague of rabid weasels.
