SPECIAL DUCT TAGS OG OFFSET

I am trying to find a way to get ogg offsets duct to show a tag that says O.G. Is this possible?

Yes. look into ctext. You will need to first create a block with any text or graphics first. Then run addreport. It should be in the help file.

Thanks for the info. I also found out that I could set up the og offset duct with a og alias. I would have thought this would have been already part of the install package. Its duct standards. I am still looking for a way to have my duct throat lengths listed. I have used 4 other duct programs and they all have them. This doesn't seem to have it. Or I haven't found it.

Yep, you'll have to use ctext for the throats as well. I think you'll start to enjoy CADmep the more you get into it because of how customizable everything is.

Ah yes, I was referring to using ctext you can put the amount of the offset. Alias is great for just denoting what it is.

As an example you can us OS as the alias. For ctext the text would be something like 6"OS if the offset was 6".

Yes, the more I use it, the more I enjoy it. I chose it because it has been around for so long and some of the biggest mech companies use it and it is highly customisable. But very often they have it professionally set up and just send them a file to install. But some of the basic needs were not in the standard install like throat length text for duct and indication of og fitting. But I do really like it.

Like Michael mentioned above, you will have to use ctext. I have been using a combination of a string tag that conisists of the elbow type, angle, and then throats. This is written into the alias field. All is accomplished via a fabrication script.
