Hi Steven

I would start AutoCAD in the 'Vanilla' profile rather than as Electrical i.e. without the electrical features then follow the following:

Fabrication CADmep will automatically register the demand load command TAKEOFF with the last AutoCAD (or vertial) instance run.

To run Fabrication CADmep, type: TAKEOFF within the AutoCAD command line. This can also be the command to use on subsequent sessions.

If AutoCAD reports 'Unknown Command', then try the following:

Type the command AP or APPLOAD

Browse to the directory C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Fabrication 2022\CADmep

Load CADmep24_1.arx file to load the Fabrication CADmep software

If 'Unknown Command' when entering AP or APPLOAD commands, then run the AutoCAD command OPTIONS to select the Open and Save tab and change the drop down setting for ObjectARX Applications: Demand load ObjectARX apps > to Object detect and command invoke.

After successfully loading the CADmep software for the first time, you can use the TAKEOFF command in subsequent sessions to load the last ARX file in use.

If you need further help, contact your local Autodesk Partner/Reseller.
