estMEP dividing material takeoff into sections

Trying to see if there is a way to sectionoff my material takeoff into separate total amounts for phasing/cost control purposes. I would normally start a new service line and name each zone (Phase 1, Phase 2, etc) beforehand, but I'm trying to see if there is a way to separate it after the fact (addendum came out to separate the costs)

You can set the Zones after the fact.

Can you please share on how you would perform this ? I usually take a few extra minutes to look if a project requires specific zoning/phasing which i would separate my takeoffs into sections, but for the occasions when addendums comes up after the fact im completed

In the model view, box over the items you want in a specific Zone, right click/properties, give them a zone name. Do the same for the other zones.

Go to the item list, & sort that list by item zone. look for the ones that do not have any...go to those items and label them with the correct zone accordingly.

Export the item data to a csv file & open it in Excell. Make a pivot table from the data, & sort by Zone.
