AutoCad Farication MEP

I am have a few troubles with FabMEp at the moment. I am trying to find and use certain size piping and I am not sure that I am using the right sizes that my drawing specs have initialized. Also I am trying to create a spool, or a Linear Nest Report, or a schedule to print out with the details of all of the piping that I have designed in AutoCAD.

Design Lines: Here is the help information regarding Design lines, as well as a great tutorial video
Services are loaded within your Fabrication Configuration. To download additional services from manufactures you can use the "DownloadContent" Command. More about that here

What would be the best way to change the piping material so instead of K type, how do I make L type when I have already laid out my pipe runs?

Here are some options:

Use REVDESIGN command. It will trace out an existing pipe run with a design line and you can re-fill with the proper pipe.

Trace the existing run of pipe with a 3D Polyline and use the LFILL command to fill in the proper pipe.

Use a script and rename the existing pipe to the proper name. Use EXECUTESCRIPT command to run the attached script file.

You need to change the file extension to .cod to run. The forum does not allow .cod files to be attached.

See now whats happening is when I use design line its drawing the line but then further down the run I have the D line and the 3d fill. I use the fill in 3d button but it will not render as such.

When I am drawing I need 2-5/8 right? When I go to render 3d it stays a design line. Same thing is happening to all the other sizes that I am trying to draw out. How do I fix this?

sounds like your button mapping may not be right, but I cant tell from your post.

2-5/8 is probably not a size, and that's why its not filling

that is what I am afraid of, the catalog for Mueller says 2-5/8" is Outside Diameter, and its 2-1/2" Inside diameter. 2-1/2" is one of the choices I can make when I use enter by size.

go by nominal size. I'm guessing youre not familiar with pipe?

No I am familiar with piping and nominal sizing, when I go to catalog information in Fabrication MEP it will not let me go very deep on piping specs. Plus I will annotate the piping later and I want it to show for the sizes we have specified. I think I have figured it out for the most part and I think I have it now.
