Revit Fabrication Parts - Tap Placement Error When Internal Lining Is Applied

Hi all,

Firstly, I understand I have posted a seemingly Revit question in a CAMduct forum. However, this question is more suited to this forum.

I am using CAMduct 2016 alongside Revit 2016 with fabrication parts. All seemed to be going well until I applied my lining specification to a straight and then tried to put a tap on it. While the tap still attaches to the duct without error the connector is hosted to the surface of the lining and not the sheetmetal and I cannot find a way to fix this. Obviously it is a problem as it will give the wrong dimensions for the branch following the tap.

Does anyone have any experience with this issue? Is there a way to modify something in CAMduct to fix this. My thoughts at the moment are to set my lining thickness to zero without changing the rest of the specification, as I am sure this will fix the issue. Though I can't help but think how anti-BIM that would be.

So the method of setting all of my insulation thicknesses to zero has resloved the issue of the misplaced tap, however the weight of the object is no longer correctly calculated.

I had to make a new type of insulation to represent each size so they weren't mixed up, I am happy with that as I have already purged all the irrelevant Autodesk prepopulated products and specifications. Sorry Autodesk, that content was irrelevant to me!

I am still hoping to hear from someone if they have a more reliable solution.
