tema Image quality decreased after INSERTOBJ en AutoCAD Forum

I'm using 2007 acad. Here's my sample of the issue. From 1 single JPEG file: Left image is Xref'd in. Right image is Insertobj'd in. Notice the color palette has decreased. What's your solution? Thanks.

Hi @nodink,

I don't have a version of AutoCAD older than 2014 but I would still like to see a sample file as well as the image file. Can you attach them to a post for me to examine?

Please also give me precise details of how you used both methods to get the image in your drawing file so I can try to duplicate this.

I no longer see any downloads for patches and service packs for AutoCAD 2007. Do you know if per chance you have applied all the ones available over the years?

I already attached a screen capture to the original post.

Here is what I did: for the 1st image, I drag & drop the image into the drawing. For 2nd image, I started INSERTOBJ > Create New > Bitmap Image > OK > (at this is point my paint brush automatically open, I paste the image from Clipboard which I copy earlier, close the app) .. Voila, the image is inserted. For some reason, @ Insertobj > create from file > doesn't work right. I would end up with a white box with image file name.
