I am waiting for my new Mac Book Pro 2021 to arrive and instead of migrating everything from my old computer to the new one, I was thinking about carrying out a fresh install of apps. If I do this, is there anyway I can keep my current settings for things like toolbars, scales etc that I currently have setup on AutoCAD 2021? I'm wondering if there is anything I can copy across to the new MBP to save setting up everything from scratch.

Hi Dylan,

Assuming you will have the same username on the new Mac as on the old one, I think you can try this:

1/ Install AutoCAD 2021 on new Mac

2/ Install latest Update to it

3/Launch AutoCAD at least one time

4/ Backup ~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/AutoCAD 2021 folder on new Mac

5/ Copy ~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/AutoCAD 2021 from old Mac to the same location on new Mac (override existing folder)

6/ Copy all other folders with custom support files (if any) from the old Mac to the new one. Place folders on the new Mac to the same locations as on old Mac.

7/ Launch AutoCAD on new Mac.

If something will go wrong - restore backup you created in step #4.
