tema Can't offset inside the object en AutoCAD for Mac Forum

I have been trying to offset a simple 5x5 rectangle, but by some reason it doesn't let me do it inside of it, just on the outside. I don't know if it's a preferences issue or else, but it's making really difficult to work for me. I'm working with AutoCAD 2019 for Mac.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Diego,

Please verify at first current offset distance (you can set it inside OFFSET command):
https://help.autodesk.com/view/ACDMAC/2019/ENU/index.html?guid=GUID-B2A33806-359B-4190-9EF8-B17BAC6F3094
The distance should be less than 2.5 units in your case.
If this will not help - turn off object snap before using offset command.
