idea Working Drawings vs. Sheeted Drawings en Revit Ideas

There should be a way to designate sections, elevations, callouts, etc. as "working" so that they do no show on sheeted views. Currently when you cut sections, create elevations, etc. they will show on every view whether you intend for them to be apart of the construction set or not. After which, you just go through all the views and be sure to either hide or delete those cuts that you do not intend to show. By being able to designate these as "working" and dedicate a view that they show on, you can alleviate this step thus cutting down on errors and omissions.

"

We have a separate Type for both Elevations and Sections that has "Working" in the Type Name.

Then we have a Filter in our View Templates to hide them.

Besides separate types for Sections, Elevations etc. we use plan views for work and sheet. The sheet views contain all annotations. Use View Templates to filter out everything you don't want on a sheet view.
