Can we we please have a button under Manage for Application Button / Export, or Save that would turn a model view (detail / Iso) into a Drafting View?

Thank you for your consideration.

This a very good idea!

I have just entered here to post about this idea of a command that allows to convert details view into drafting views that you can edit in an easier way, copy and paste into another view. Maybe the result is drafted objects that retain its data for tagging purposes and with the ability to be exploded.

FYI

Revit Extensions - Tools - Freeze Drawing has done something similar to this since 2012. It was an Addin in 2011.

ArchiCAD had this feature (when I used it from 1996-2006) to change a model view into a drafting view, as well as changing it back if the model design changes. This would be a very welcome tool to make generating details faster and more portable. Hard to believe there are only 2 comments and 31 votes.
