idea Synch User Settings between Revit Versions en Revit Ideas

Every new Revit version or install we need to change all our customized Revit settings. If we change a setting in one version we have to do this again in all the other versions. It would be better if these user settings could be saved to your Autodesk profile so these are correct when you are logged in. This could even be taken a step further by letting the company admin set certain company standards or change certain settings that many people overlook and cause problems. Some examples of settings that could be synched are:

Shortcuts

File Locations for Templates, Family Library, Dynamo Scripts, ...

Dark Theme/Colors

Basically every setting in the Options menu

All the saved options in the Options Bar/Contextual Ribbon Tabs

Size of Resizable Dialogs

...

Hmmm, settings..... (Scratching my head) There should be a more sophisticated way to govern them instead of .ini files. Maybe some sort of database that could hold all settings of all applications. And maybe even the settings of the OS. And then make a system using some sort of templates to pre-configure those settings. (Scratching my head again). Naaah, way too complicated - lets stick with .ini files.

Every browser or phone or other software has a sync function that syncs data with the account that is logged in.

This shoud be a must!

For examplee, i see this with syncing keyboard shortcuts as a first implementation.

Hi Autodesk

We need the option to transfer our individual revit graphics settings and user interface.

We use different kinds of revit versions depending on when the case was first in development.
