idea Revit : Up view for stairs en Revit Ideas

Hello team,

In France, we are used to formwork being displayed in plan view.

Unfortunately, the stairs are not well displayed even if I use right view range parameters.

I've made an example in Revit 2025 the screen capture below reports the display issue.

It will be great to integrate the right displaying for stairs (up view).

Also, you will find my example in attached file.

Best regards

Olivier

I am worried about Autodesk personnel entering ideas here. Just implement them and be done with it. You could even market it as your own idea. But this has something to do with one of the most voted for shortcomings of Revit as such - stairs - so please take my vote. I would probably appreciate it.

As for the formwork, we tend not to use stairs for stairs but use a generic family that cuts according to view limits.

There should be more graphical options for stairs in general. I would love to have more freedom with how my stairs look in plan or section

Hello everyone, I completely agree, this is a real problem in Revit today. To have a correct representation of the stairs, I am forced to redraw them in 2D in my plan view. This is quite counterproductive when we have taken the trouble to draw the stairs in 3D.
