I hide it everywhere and make a special category of Space views where they are displayed as well as Space References and Fills. I would be frustrated to see it in the other views and would be afraid that people would move them accidentally.

We've got a separate "Room Coordination" View that has the Room Interior Fill and Room Reference X turned on and everything else except Wall and Columns off.

Then the RS lines are set to a big fat (Pen 12) pink line.

Works great to find all those Redundant and Not Enclosed Rooms as well as cleaning up the overlapping RS Lines and Walls.

I like this being an option as well, even if there are safeguards currently in place. View Templates and Hide by Category work really well for this, but having redundancy in place gives me peace of mind, and it gives me peace of mind.

Yes, please! We often work with architects using AutoCAD, which means we have to draw in room separations. Alternatively to having a checkbox, it would be great if there was a non-lot color, such as the default green of scope boxes and room separations. Revit could lock out one RBG color for this purpose.

Agree with this wish. in my opinion room separators should be not printing by default, I have never had the need of printing one. They should work like reference planes in that sense. I know some of you have found a workflow and a way to work with this, using different views, etc. But the beauty in a software is the ability to adapt to different ways of working. If the room separators are not printable you will still keep your way of working anyways, besides others that don't have that way of working and just want them to be not printable will also benefit from it, and that makes everyone happy.

Me too, I would like room separators to show in plans, because they need to be modified as the layout changes. But none of my clients need to see them on any print as they are an internal modelling aid like reference planes.

I think NateBrush's idea of having all non-printing modelling aids (refernce lines, reference planes, room separtors, layout grids etc.) the same colour is an excellent one. That way it is really clear when looking at a plan which elements are not going to be printed

The color trick would not work. For example, a white line will show up on a grey floor.

Use a view template where you show these lines in your WORK views. In your PRINT or PRESENTATION lines, you will hide these views. Just use view templates, that is the tool to solve these types of issues.

The answer to the question of needing another workaround is a resounding NO. Please add the ability to hide room separation lines. They are imaginary lines to begin with. This is just another in a long list of Revit failures leading to workarounds because software engineers want to make a product that works for them not us.

There needs to be a non-plot state for all objects. Having guide lines on sheets, and working around objects that you want to design around but not necessarily show in print would be very helpful. This could be the same feature.
