idea Create a plugin that exports to Oculus Medium to sketch in VR en Revit Ideas

Oculus Medium can import geometry, it requires an OBJ file that is closed and water tight.

Medium allows users to draw in VR. It's a very good way to understand the scale of a space and it's surroundings.

Autodesk and Autodesk Labs seems to have no interest in VR creation for architects, so the next best thing would be to use a Revit Site model and import it into Oculus Medium to sketch some building concepts and reimport the resulting geometry to Revit for proper BIM modelling. Similar to previous work I've done in VR, but with better 3D editing tools (Medium).

I would suggest making a Revit plugin that facilitates this link with generally low poly models that it makes water tight for Medium. This would be a pleasure to work with during the conceptualization phase.

Thanks for taking the time to submit your idea. Unfortunately, this idea did not get the support of the community over the last 6 months and as such we will not be pursuing it at this time.
