idea Show nested annotation symbols 2 (or more) more levels deep en Revit Ideas

Currently, I can nest a generic annotation family into any loadable family, and it shows as expected in a project. But if I next that family into another, the generic annotation no longer shows at the project level. I'm not sure what the value of this limit is, and would like to see it removed.

A specific example from my work: I need to place wall and floor boxes that have different combinations of data connections and AV (Communications Devices) connections. Since the AV connection and the Data connection are installed by different contractors, I need them to show on different plans. Getting the actual devices to show is easy - Visibility Graphics does exactly what I want here. But the symbols won't show, they are nested too deep.

Placing the symbol one level up - in the parent box family - does not work, because it will show whenever generic annotation shows, rather than being part of a Data Device or a Communications Device.

Drawing the symbol with lines, etc in the data device or communications device makes it show, but it's not annotation, so it doesn't scale annotatively, or orient itself annotatively.

I can imagine similar examples with power and data nested into furniture or systems furniture. light fixtures nested into casework, security devices nested into doors and windows. I'm sure there are others.

Thanks for taking the time to submit your idea. Unfortunately, this idea did not get the support of the community over the last 6 months and as such we will not be pursuing it at this time. Please feel free to rework (titles and clear descriptions are really important) and resubmit this one down the road.
