idea System Family Paint Layer - Zero Thickness en Revit Ideas

I would like to be able to add a paint layer to system families like walls without it impacting the actually thickness or creating extra objects when exploding to parts.

This way something like an exterior tilt concrete wall can have a paint automatically assigned to it and changed on the fly. It also helps differentiate concrete material vs paint material.

This would support this post: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-ideas/materials-and-finishes-are-not-the-same/idi-p/6489981

use a membrane layer in your wall make up.

Downfall:

-it will probably create extra part

-You will need to create same wall for each colour finish you want, unless you use paint tool.

I don't believe this shows up as a material? Please give it a try and post a picture if you get a result with the materials texture actually showing up.
