idea Copy Model Elements from Project to Family Component en Revit Ideas

There should be an option of easily being able to copy modelled elements from a project file (RVT) into a Revit Family Category file (RFA). Currently this cannot be done as Revit does not allow the copying of elements from a Project to a Family.

If you have a model in-place component in your project, the extrusion elements can be copied from the in-place instance in the project, to a component family file, but not any modelled elements such as steel beams, braces, columns, etc.

We have had many projects where we have received models from other disciplines, example structural, and there have been some modelled elements which we needed to make into a component family, to be able to load into our project as a family, or use on other projects.

The ability to do this would help a lot and be a massive time saver.
