Through a bunch of forum reading and trial and error, I've determine the following to be the hierarchy of how visibility graphic overrides apply, and it seems to hold true from what I can tell (1 is highest priority):

1) Linework Tool

2) Override Graphics in View -> By Element -> Halftone

3) Graphic Display Options - Silhouette Edges

4) Override Graphics in View -> By Element

5) View Filters

6) MEP System Graphic Overrides

7) View Depth - Beyond Line Style

Phasing Graphic Overrides

9) Visibility/Graphic Overrides -> Override Host Layers -> Cut Line Styles

10) Visibility/Graphic Overrides -> Projection/Cut Lines

11) Materials within the wall Family (Cut, Pattern, Colour)

12) Project Object Styles

As far as I know the position of MEP overrides isn't formally documented by determined by others through trial and error.

My problem is the order of items 6, 7, & 8.

I want my pipes and ducts to have a certain look (both link thickness and line type), UNLESS they are below the floor (which in my case should be dashed linetype), and UNLESS they are being demolished (which in my case should be dashed differently than underfloor and thicker lines).

Currently I am using a combination of worksets and filters to get the desired look because the MEP graphic overrides are killing both phasing and beyond settings.

I propose that items 6 and 8 in the above list be swapped so the new order would be:

Phasing Graphic Overrides

View Depth - Beyond Line Style

MEP System Graphic Overrides

Thanks

I don't necessarily think switching them will solve the issue, as someone else might be relying on the current order of priority. However, I do think it's important to clarify what the hierarchy is and it would be helpful to allow the user to modify that hierarchy to an extent.
