idea Create steel beam splice by picking distance from a column en Revit Ideas

I still can't believe this isn't a part of Revit since becoming a user back in 2007. Users could save so much time if there was a single click button to splice a steel beam with a set distance from a column. Revit could automatically add a dimension to the splice from the column while also adding the industry standard plan symbol and a splice plate for section and detail work.

This is very common is construction. Steel beams DO frame over columns and steel beams get spliced. This fix is something that seems so easy to add, yet here I am 14 years later, still manually breaking beams and adding my own plan symbol and dimensions.
