idea Revit Server Admin en Revit Ideas

To access to Revit Server Admin, you have to use an old fashioned Internet Explorer with silverlight.

Silverlight is dead since many year, and Microsoft will stop the support next year :

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/silverlight-end-of-support-0a3be3c7-bead-e203-2dfd-74f0a64f1788

Can we have a new interface witch works with any recent web -navigator (chrome, firefox, edge, opera) ?

The cheer on the cake will be creating backup schedule from this interface (every any user synchronization). Scripts to backup is painful !

Hi @c.barribaud

Pefectly in tune with you. Silverlight is completly outdated (it's a wonder that IT administration allows still to use it in combination with old fashioned Internet Explorer).

We're writting our own scripts to backup files on revit server but to continue your idea "la cerise sur le gâteau", an even more exiting idea would be automatic update of revit server from version to version (my job of today: upgrading a revit server 2019 to revit server 2021).

Greetings from Vienna,

Jakob Steiner
