View Templates and V/G dialogs both have a "Filter List":

<multiple>

Architecture

Structure

Mechanical

Electrical

Piping

Infrastructure

Where's Civil?

When I filter just to Architecture, I see many categories that are common to other disciplines. I can set my filter to Mechanical only, and see these same categories. These categories are not specific to "Architecture" or Mechanical or Electrical, etc... These categories need either a "Multi-Discipline" or "Generic" filter, call it what you will.

"Model Category" Examples that would be filtered "IN" when a "Multi-Discipline" filter is exclusively selected:

Areas

Detail Items

Generic Models

Lines

Mass

Parts

Raster Images

Site (Perhaps better in a Civil filter)

All other "Model Categories" filter "OUT" when "Multi-Discipline" is exclusively selected.

This "Multi-Discipline" filter works great in "Annotation Categories" as well"

"Annotation Category" Examples that would be filtered "IN" when a "Multi-Discipline" filter is exclusively selected:

Adaptive Points

Callouts

Color Fill Legends

Dimensions

Elevations

Generic Annotations

Generic Model Tags

Guide Grid

Keynote Tags

Levels

Mass Tags

Matchline

Material Tags

Multi-Category Tags

Part Tags

Reference Lines

Reference Planes

Reference Points

Revision Cloud Tags

Revision Clouds

Schedule Graphics

Scope Boxes

Section Boxes

Sections

Spot Coordinates

Spot Elevations

Spot Slopes

Text Notes

Title Blocks

View Reference

View Titles

Other potential filters in the "Annotation Categories" would be "Tags" and "Analysis." There seems to be a lot of these across all disciplines, and nice to filter IN/OUT.
