It would be Great improvement in revit!!

1. For controlling the visibility of each layers In the host (wall for example),

for hiding the layers outside the core layer.

2. Overriding graphics for each layer per view.
It would be very useful For the deferent floorplans and sections.

i think the best way is controlling this actions by a filter.

thanks

Dror Vanger

Instructore & Support Specialist for revit

Autodesk authorized training center

I assume this would be in element overrides or filters (since it's already available for "everything")?

Our use case example: in our section views, we like cut lines as LW 4, beyond lines as LW 2. When we cut through a concrete wall, the lines should be LW 4, but when we cut through a stud wall, the stud lines should be LW 2 and the plywood should be LW 4 (we - structural engineers - don't model the gyp.bd. and just show it from the architect's model half-toned along with other non-structural elements). For walls that only have plywood on one side (most), that means the wall should have both line weights in it, so we can't just override by filters (if we were to model them separately, then we could use filters, but that would be too much trouble). Right now, we either don't model the plywood (and put it in as a detail component) or use the Linework tool - in EVERY view...
