idea Rendering Material en Revit Ideas

In the material browser it would be great to have a setting that would utilize or create a script that could randomly select small material "patches" from a larger sample material (including randomly rotating + flipping axes during the process) for each individual component that was using the same material. That way the material would resemble itself throughout a rendering, but prevent continuous pattern repetition. This would be great for components such as a curtain wall system using panels with a stone material preventing it from tiling in the rendering process.

In some cases a very light random bump map on the material can help break up the effect, but that increases rendering time more than randomly generated noise modifying the base image.
